During COVID-19, we are committed to supporting you, the Pathfinder Kids parents, with resources so that your child can learn more about who Jesus is through age-appropriate curriculum.
Each week you will find a video lesson, story, coloring page and activities here on this page. (Scroll past the Kindness Project for lessons.)
We are praying for you. When you create the space to spend this time in the Scriptures with your children, God will bless it.
The Kindness Project is a simple, but meaningful way, to share God's love, through the beauty of a child’s artwork. We are partnering with local nursing homes and rehab centers. Here is how it works:
- Create! You and your kiddos create things to share. This can include cards, pictures, drawings, paintings, colored pages, whatever! You don’t need to worry about addressing items to anyone in particular; they will be distributed to all residents. Don’t be afraid of making too many items.
- Drop off your creations in the bin inside the Carter's enclosed front porch by end of the day Thursday each week. Address: 285 N. Larch Ave, Elmhurst.
- Lauren Carter will deliver to the nursing homes and rehab centers.
That’s it! Spread some joy and kindness to many seniors who are isolated and cannot have visitors right now.
Also, many facilities happily accept donations of gently used books, movies, and DVD or VCR players. Feel free to drop those off as well and Lauren can deliver them for you.
This Week's Resources
Hear, O Israel:
The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road,
when you lie down
and when you get up.
Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
