The "40" film

October 29, 2014

7:00pm – 9:00pm

On Wednesday, October 29th from 7:00-9:00pm, Pathway Community Church is hosting the "40" film at the York Theatre to raise funds to purchase a portable ultrasound machine in order to open a CareNet "express" in Elmhurst.

Admission is free for the movie, and donations will be accepted. To reserve your seat(s), click here.  If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation to the 40 Movie Ultrasound Fund to help us open a CareNet "expres" in Elmhurst to save the lives of unborn children.

CareNet is changing hearts and saving lives every day.  But there are more women (and men) who need our help.  In order to give more women the opportunity to find CareNet, we want to open a CareNet "express" center in the Pathway office in Elmhurst.  This will help meet the needs of women and save the lives of unborn babies.

Why do we need ultrasound?  Consider these facts:

  • Many women seeking an abortion come to CareNet for the express purpose of receiving an ultrasound.
  • On average 70% of clients considering or seeking an abortion receive an ultrasound free of charge.
  • More than two-thirds of women end up choosing life after receiving an ultrasound.

The "40" film.  One of the most compelling pro-life documentaries ever produced is now available for screenings in theaters, schools, and churches across our nation. 40, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, highlights well-reasoned and secular arguments against abortion and investigates the effects of abortion in our nation over the last 40 years. The film was an Official Entry in the John Paul II International Film festival in Miami, Florida.

40 gives voice to both sides fairly and lets women speak for themselves through experience on the reasons for their firm convictions about abortion. The film also addresses some of the strongest arguments for the pro-choice position, and provides heartfelt testimonies from post abortive women and men. The film captures the impact of abortion on women, men, families and society in an exquisite encounter with human dignity. It also showcases the annual March for Life and the youth as the generation that will end abortion.
